One of the most acclaimed, addictive and innovative suspense thriller on the television, ‘24’ will return with the seventh season on November 23, 2008 with a two hours prequel. This immensely popular, compelling and unique drama series has, so far, won 57 Emmy Award nominations besides winning many awards. In its trend setting format, each season takes place within one twenty four hour period presented in real time. Each season of the show depicts 24 hours of the life of Counter terrorism agent Jack Bauer, who works with the US government to fight internal threats. It also chronicles the actions of other agents, government officials, and terrorists associated with the plot. Each day’s events revolve around thwarting the impending terrorist attack but the exact objective of the day may change over the course of the season as the terrorists may change their plans or turn out to be mere pawns in an insidious conspiracy. A recurring theme in 24 is the dilemma faced by the characters whether to allow something tragic to happen for the sake of greater good for greater number of people.

24 often uses split- screen action to follow multiple plots. The upcoming “Day 7” promises to add compelling new elements to its existing unique concept.
