Scrubs

‘Scrubs’ is an Emmy and Peabody Award winning American medical comedy drama. It premiered on October 2, 2001 and the show is presently running with its 8th season. The show centers on the bizarre experiences of an intern, John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff) as he starts his career in surreal Sacred Heart Hospital, crammed full of unpredictable staffers and patients. He is joined in his exhilarating and occasionally exasperating new world by his college buddy Chris Turk (Donald Faison) and a caring, though, slightly jaded nurse, Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes). The hospital janitor (Neil Flynn) never seems to miss an opportunity to harass J.D. with whom an adversarial relationship was established in the pilot episode. It has often been described as “half as long as ER and twice as funny”. It often features guest appearances by movie stars who generally don’t appear on episodic television, such as Colin Farrell, Heather Graham and Brendan Fraser.
