Law & Order

Set in New York City, ‘Law and Order’ is an Emmy Award winning police procedural and legal drama series. Known for being the longest running crime drama in the history of television, it made its debut on September 13, 1990. The show follows the crime from two distinct vantage points, first being the investigation of the crime done by the police and second part is devoted to the prosecution of the crime in court.
‘Law and Order’ revolves around the professional lives of law enforcers and prosecutors who represent the public interest in the criminal justice system. The matters relating to crimes are rarely solved to the satisfaction of all concerned and morals and beliefs of those involved are often challenged and manipulated. There are many heart wrenching incidents of guilty going scot-free while innocent are ruined forever. These detectives and prosecutors are vulnerable, cynical and as flawed as any other human being yet, somehow, they are still devoted to their jobs to bring the criminal to the book and make them answer for their crimes while getting justice for the victim and victim’s family.
