Everybody Loves Raymond

One of the most critically acclaimed sitcom of its time, Everybody Loves Raymond is an Emmy Award winning television series that ran successfully from September 13, 1996 to May 16, 2005. The most remarkable thing about the series is that many situations in the show are derived from real life experiences of Ray Romano, who plays the role of the protagonist Ray Barone, and the writing staff. The main characters are also loosely based on Romano’s family members.
The show focuses on Ray Barone, a successful sports writer and his family consisting of his wife Debra, daughter Ally, and twin sons Geoffrey and Michael. His nemesis is his meddling parents, Frank and Marie, and divorced brother, Robert, living across the street. They constantly move in an out of their son’s household and interfere in every matter to the extend unseen in the television history ever before. His brother resents his successful career and happy family life. Though the brothers are often seen picking on each other, they are actually not only devoted to each other but also stand up for one another. Ray and Debra have their share of marital discords, which end up in Ray preferring watching sports on TV over talking to Debra and her denying Ray sex. A recurring theme happens to be the couple having long arguments while in bed, though, some time there is sweetness between them.
